Intake notes can become the start of a care plan

A pilot update on using Lumo AI to turn dietitian intake notes and attached documents into a structured care-plan starting point.

A Lumo care-plan intake card with realistic client intake notes, an attached document, and a Draft with Lumo AI button.

Intake notes are dense. They carry symptoms, preferences, goals, lab context, food patterns, barriers, and the dietitian's own observations.

The hard part is not that the information is missing. It is turning that information into a structured starting point without spending the whole session on blank-page work.

That is where Lumo AI is getting more useful.

What changed

Dietitians can bring intake context into the care-plan workflow, including realistic notes and an attached document. Lumo can then help structure the first draft so the practitioner has something concrete to review.

The draft can pull forward the important pieces:

The dietitian still owns the care plan. Lumo is there to organize the starting point.

Why it matters

Good care plans depend on context, but context is easy to lose when it lives in separate notes, documents, and memory.

By helping translate intake notes into structured care-plan material, Lumo can reduce administrative friction while keeping the practitioner in control.

We are continuing to test how much should be drafted, what should remain clearly editable, and where Lumo should ask for confirmation before turning notes into plan details.
